Data Belief Statements
Assessment data provides valuable information about learning. I believe data from assessment must be carefully analyzed and organized. By thoughtfully reviewing data, I will be able to spot trends and patterns, which will inform me of specific and recurring successes and struggles facing my students. I believe data should guide the direction of future classroom instruction. From assessment data, I will be able to clearly see whether or not my students successfully mastered the learning targets. If most students have reached proficiency, I can be confident on continuing forward with new learning; however, if this is not the case, I will be fully aware of the specific areas within the content that need to be revisited and retaught.
